Paddy Flood’s Analysis This clip is doing the rounds on social media, but I thought I'd definitely give it a run here because I don't think I've ever seen anything like this one. For me, David Probert is so good and so quick with this hood. This is why it happens because his horse breaks so perfectly. He gets the timing so correct on his start that when he pulls the hood, he's actually probably a touch in front. Watch where the blindfold ends up. Oh, straight onto Hector Crouch's head! Hector has gone maybe six, seven, eight strides with his eyes covered. I suppose maybe David Probert thought Hector Crouch was needing a hood! Maybe he thought he was getting a little bit edgy! It was a fantastic bit of riding by both, to get the hood off that quick and then for Hector Crouch not to panic and just grab a hold of it and get rid of it like nothing happened. It's not every day you see this. I do wonder if King Charles is sitting at home with Racing TV on watching this going, "Oh, Jesus, what's happening to my horse?"
